    LEVON ARONIAN REMAINS AT TOP OF TOURNAMENT TABLE WITH 10.5 POINTS IN AMBER INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT

    NICE, MARCH 24, NOYAN TAPAN. In the 6th tour of the Amber International
    Chess Tournament being held in the city of Nice, France, Levon Aronian
    competed with Shahriyar Mamediarov (Azerbaijan) and drew the games in
    blind and speed chess. In the 7th tour L. Aronian in blind chess drew
    the game with Veselin Topalov (Bulgaria) and won in speed chess. In
    the 8th tour the grand master from Yerevan competed with Viswanathan
    Anand (India). In blind chess he beat his competitor, and a draw was
    recorded in speed chess.

    L. Aronian has gained 10.5 points and remains at the top of the
    tournament table. The leader is followed by Magnus Carlsen (Norway)
    with 9.5 points, Peter Leko (Hungary) with 9 points, Alexander
    Morozevich (Russia), Veselin Topalov (Bulgaria), Viswanathan Anand
    (India), and Vladimir Kramnik (Russia) with 8.5 points each.

    March 24 is announced a rest day in the tournament.
