CONFERENCE ON SUBJECT OF KASHATAG REGION'S DEVELOPMENT STARTED IN NAGORNO-KARABAKH

YEREVAN, 28.03.08. DE FACTO. The conference on the development of the
Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Kashatag region started its work today in
the town of Berdzor - administrative center of the Kashatag region.
The conference has been initiated by Tufenkian Benevolent Foundation.
The issues referring, in part, to the development of infrastructure,
agriculture, health care and education will be considered at the
conference. The representatives of the NKR official authorities,
Diaspora and Armenian business circles will participate in the
conference. The NKR President Bako Sahakian delivered a welcome speech
at the conference's opening.
According to the initiators' plan, the conference's aim is to urge the
compatriots in Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh and Diaspora to consolidate
efforts for the Kashatag region's development in the interests of
national security.
The conference will conclude its work on March 30.
