MEXICO SUPPORT SOLUTION NAGORNO KARABAKH CONFLICT ON UN LEVEL -DEPUTY

Mexico recognize the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and support
solution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the level of international
organizations including UN, Maria de Lourdes Aranda Bezaury, the
Deputy Foreign Minister of Mexico, stated on her visit to Azerbaijan.
The Resolution on Situation in Occupied Territories of Azerbaijan
was adopted during the session of UN General Assembly on 14 March
OSCE Minsk Group considers adoption of the resolution emerges danger
in the peace process of regulation of Armenian Azerbaijani conflict
over Nagorno-Karabakh.
OSCE Minsk Group intermediate with representatives of three countries
the United States, Russia and France to settle the Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict. Aranda Bezaury said she was informed about Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict.
The conflict between the two countries of the South Caucasus began
in 1988 due to Armenian territorial claims against Azerbaijan. Since
1992, Armenian Armed Forces have occupied 20% of Azerbaijan including
the Nagorno-Karabakh region and its seven surrounding districts. In
1994, Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a ceasefire agreement at which
time the active hostilities ended. The Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk
Group ( Russia, France, and the US) are currently holding peaceful
negotiations.
