Slava Sargsyan, head of the department of preservation and study of
monuments of the ministry of culture and youth, told Karabakh-Open.com
in the current year they finish registration of historical monuments.
According to him, there are no organizations specializing in
preservation and study of monuments but separate studiers who work
with old methods, without necessary equipment. Meanwhile, we need
to register about 700 monuments in a year, said the head of the
department.
Slava Sargsyan underlined that this year the government did not provide
funds for presentations but presentation events are included in the
program of the ministry. "In particular, this year we will prepare
two brochures, one is a tourist guide, the other is a book entitled
"Anariak-Partav-Barda," Slava Sargsyan said.
Slava Sargsyan says over the past few years the department has
published over twenty brochures, maps, tourist guides and other
presentation materials. The maps, which according to Slava Sargsyan
are highly important with regard to the international recognition of
NKR, were published in Armenian, English, Arabic and Russian. They
were sent to at least 30 countries, and recently 100 Arabic and 50
English copies were ordered from Lebanon.
