MODERN ART BIENNALE IN VANADZOR

On November 7 the sixth Biennale of Modern Art of Gyumri will
be transferred to Vanadzor Gallery, which will take place in the
frameworks of international biennale.
According to Azat Sargsyan the president of Modern Art Center of Gyumri
since October 7 more than 70 artists both from Armenia and abroad
took part in it. "This is our first cooperation with our Vanadzor
colleagues, and we are cordially glad for that. The exhibitions proved
that cultural development should not be centralized only in Yerevan,
as other cities need those cultural activities also," said A. Sargsyan.
Papag Aloyan, the director of Vanadzor Gallery said that the current
exhibition will give opportunity to the artists of the country "to
get in touch". He added that currently it is possible to decentralize
the culture from the capital to other cities.
