50.2% RESPONDENTS OF TELEPHONE SOCIOLOGICAL SURVEY FOR WARMING OF ARMENIAN-TURKISH RELATIONS

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 3, NOYAN TAPAN. According to the data of the
telephone survey on the subject Situation Formed in the Region
conducted by the Supreme Council Deputy Club NGO, 23.3% of 600
residents of Yerevan taking part in the survey accepts the viewpoint
of the Russian leadership that Russia is a guarantor of security
in the South-Caucasian region. According to the NGO's report, 48%
respondents gave a negative answer to that question and 28.7% found
it difficult to answer it.
09.7% respondents gave a positive answer, 34.5% a negative answer,
and 55.3% found it difficult to answer the question of whether Armenia
should recognize the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. 50.2%
respondents spoke for warming of Armenian-Turkish relations, 13.3%
against, 36.5% found it difficult to answer the question.
