Turkish President Abdullah Gul will visit Armenia at the weekend
on the invitation of his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan to
watch the qualifying 2010 FIFA World Cup football match between two
countries' national teams in Yerevan, Turkish president's office said
on Wednesday.
"President Gul's visit can assure the development of peace and
stability in the region. We hope the coming match will remove certain
obstacles in the development of relations of the two neighboring
countries," the office says.
