EDWARD NALBANDIAN: THE TWO PRESIDENTS MADE A DARING AND IMPORTANT STEP

"The two Presidents took a daring and important step. First of all, our
President's initiative to invite the Turkish President was historic. By
accepting the invitation, Turkey's President turned it into a joint
initiative. The steps the Presidents made was an important and good
step in the normalization of relations," RA Foreign Minister Edward
Nalbandian said during a briefing today, summing up Turkish President
Abdullah Gul's visit to Yerevan on September 6.
The Minister expressed confidence that the initiative will have a good
continuation and will yield good results. "With their step the two
Presidents passed half the way towards the normalization of relations
between the two countries. The diplomats should pass the other half
upon the instruction of the Presidents. The Minister assured that
everything possible will be done for the results to be positive.
