PRESIDENT OF BI LINE: BY CALLING ITSELF BEELINE COMPANY ARMENTEL APPROPRIATES THE NAME OF OUR COMPANY

ArmInfo. By calling itself Beeline Company ArmenTel appropriates
the name of our company, says Hayk Khanjyan, President of Bi Line,
one of Armenia's biggest IT companies.
The trade mark of ArmenTel sounds the same as the trade mark Bi Line
has used for over 12 years already.
This results in confusion and complaints by clients. Khanjyan believes
that ArmenTel is acting illegally. The Economic Court of Armenia has
considered Bi Line's claim without its presence. The Court of Appeal
has dismissed Bi Line's appeal. 'It was a serious mistake. But since
such mistakes take place systematically we doubt that it was just a
coincidence. We have enough arguments in support of our suit and we
will struggle for our rights till the end. We have already appealed
to the European Court,' says Khanjyan.
