Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev -APA. "I don't suppose that the settlement of
Nagorno Karabakh conflict needs in a new format. We can't achieve the
results acceptable for us from the OSCE Minsk Group's activity, but
changing the format will cause loss of time. The current format should
continue for the present", First Vice Speaker of Azerbaijani Milli
Majlis (parliament) Ziyafat Asgarov told journalists, APA reports. He
said it was important to base on the norms and principles of the
international law in the settlement of the conflict. "The mediators
of its own accord, but the main issue will depend on Armenia. Will
Armenia realize for itself at last that continuation of the conflict
has no any prospect for this country?!"
Ziyafat Asgarov said the peace talks were continued, but he didn't
rule out that if the talks didn't bring results, Azerbaijan would
liberate its lands by the ways allowed by the UN Charter.
Touching upon the resignation of Armenian parliament speaker, Asgarov
said this country would face with the internal tensions as long as
it provided injustice policy. "They have to grow wiser and to come
to an understanding with their neighbors. Armenians have to withdraw
from the occupied Azerbaijani lands to live normally".
