YEREVAN AND STEPANAKERT STARTED DISCUSSION CONCERNING OSCE MG FORMAT

STEPANAKERT, 18.09.08. DE FACTO. In connection with changes that
took place in the region after August 8 and Azerbaijan's unceasing
efforts to doubt OSCE Minsk group's efficiency Nagorno-Karabakh and
Armenia started serious discussions, NKR FM Georgy Petrosian stated
on September 17, in the course of a governmental hour held at the
Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Parliament.
According to DE FACTO own correspondent in Stepanakert, Georgy
Petrosian noted that discussions referred to Minsk group format and
possible development of events.
In Georgy Petrossian's opinion, the format of OSCE Minsk group meets
NKR approaches.
At the same time the Minister believes there was some danger from the
viewpoint of possible developments in the documents, in connection
with which discussions targeted at Nagorno-Karabakh's recognition as
a conflicting party start.
Commenting on Turkey's initiative on activating Karabakh settlement
process the Minister noted that the situation was changing every
moment, and "we currently go on seriously following processes and
making conclusions".
