Novruzali Mamedov's death is going to be a new reason for the
international society's distrust towards Azerbaijan. Mamedov's death
was not unexpected and the human rights defending organizations
have been voicing so many times about that case, defender Saida
Gojamanali told "Turan". "But nothing followed the monitoring group's
encouragements, in the aftermath of which retired jailed having bad
health condition died," he said.
Thomas Hammerberg, the EU rapporteur on human rights affairs has
been already informed about Mamedov's death, not only EU rapporteur
but PACE co- rapporteur Andres Herckel and other representatives of
international organizations have been also introduced to this case,
"They have been much concerned about that news," he said.
