Armenian premier invites opposition "to cooperate"
"I would like to use this occasion to announce that we have made an
exclusive proposal to the opposition, with which we want to build
bridges, cooperation, and we have suggested an instrument for
cooperation, that is monitoring of our complex anti-corruption
programme. We invited the opposition, including those not represented
in the parliament, to take part in this monitoring. It is an exclusive
opportunity as this is a serious programme being developed with the
help of the best international experts. The implementation of this
programme provides an opportunity for serious progress in our
country. I assure you that your participation will on one hand
essentially increase confidence in that [monitoring] commission, and
on the other hand increase the efficiency of the commission's work; we
invite you to participate," Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan
said in the parliament yesterday [4 February].
