4 MURDER VERSIONS OF ARMENIAN POLICE VICE CHIEF CONSIDERED

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Armenian Police Chief Alik Sargsyan took personal
control over murder investigation of Armenian Police Deputy Chief,
Lieutenant Colonel Gevorg Mheryan. "Detection of the murder which
struck a blow at the whole law enforcement system, is a matter of
honor for the Police. The investigation, jointly with RA National
Security Service is considering 4 basic versions of the murder. The
Police specified the murder mechanism as pre-planned.
Vice Chief of Armenian Police Gevorg Mheryan was shot dead at the
door of his apartment in 65, Barbyus str., Yerevan, on February 3
evening. An unknown fired one shot into Mheryan's chest and three
shots into his head.
The investigators found eight 9mm cartridges and four pistols at
the site.
A criminal case was instituted in compliance with Article 104.2
and Article 235.1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. An operational
investigative group consisting of the Police, National Security and
Special Investigation Service officers was formed.
