ArmInfo. Armenia is taking part in International Green Week
(Internationale Grune Woche Berlin), which is taking place in Berlin
Jan 15-26 2009.
The head of the Department of Foreign Relations and Marketing of the
Ministry of Agriculture of Armenia Andranik Petrossyan says that almost
10 Armenian producers are taking part in the exhibition
(Yerevan Brandy Company, Avshar Wine Factory, Noyan) with wine, brandy,
natural juice, canned fruit and vegetables, honey and some other
products. The total area of the Armenian pavilion is 88 sq m.
Minister of Agriculture and Consumers Affairs of Germany Ilse Aigner,
Minister of Agriculture of the Netherlands Gerda Verburg and other
officials have visited the pavilion.
Almost 1,600 producers from 60 countries are taking part in the
exhibition this year. The exhibition has been held since 1926. Armenia
has taken part in it since 2008.
"We hope that our producers will find partners and will reach new
mutually beneficial agreements," says Petrossyan.
He says that the Armenian producers have spent their own money on
transportation of their products and on their stay in Berlin. The
German party, particularly, GTZ, has paid for the rent of the area and
