MP from ARF Dashnaksutyun: Thanks to economic crisis, Armenia get rid
of illusions of two-digit economic growth at last

ArmInfo. The benefit of the economic growth is that Armenia has at last
got rid of the illusions of two-digit economic growth, MP from ARF
Dashnaksutyun faction Ara Nranyan told journalists, Friday.
According to him, in conditions of the current crisis Armenia should
focus on mechanical increase in GDP, and not on the increase in
domestic demand.
"The global crisis has not become so strong to decrease the demand for
the most necessary thing - the food. In this connection, the
agricultural sphere may and should be activated. The strategic goal
here should be achievement of at least partial food dependence on
foreign markets. The Agriculture Ministry should focus its efforts on
stimulation of agriculture production by small local enterprises",-
Nranyan said.
