YEREVAN, JANUARY 28, NOYAN TAPAN. The speaker of the RA National
Assembly Hovik Abrahamian handed medals and letters of acknowledgement
of the National Assembly to a group of top officers at the parliament
on January 28 on the occasion of Army Day. According to the RA
National Assembly PR Department, the ceremony was attended by the
defence minister Seyran Ohanian, NA deputies, officers of the RA
ministry of defence.
The Minister of Defence Seyran Ohanian, the Head of the General
Staff of Armed Forces of the RA, First Deputy Minister of Defence
Lieutenant General Yuri Khachaturov, the Deputy Minister of Defence
Lieutenant General Alik Mirzabekian, the Deputy Minister of Defence
Ara Nazarian, and the Head of the Legal Department of the Ministry
of Defence Sedrak Sedrakian were awarded Medals of Honor of the RA
National Assembly for their active participation in the process of
reforms in the armed forces and increasing the defensive capacity
of the country. The Head of the Department for Work with Personnel
of the Armed Forces of the RA Major General Vardan Avetisian and
the Commander of Peacekeeping Forces of the RA Ministry of Defence
Colonel Arthur Simonian received letters of acknowledgement for the
conscientious performance of their official duties.
