AGBU High School Pasadena Unveils New Computer Lab, New Van Bolsters
    Athletic Programs

Pasadena, CA - On Friday, January 23, 2009, parents, students, teachers,
administrators, school board and community members celebrated the
opening of the new computer lab at the AGBU High School Pasadena and the
presentation of the new school van to the Athletic Department.

Friday's festivities began with the official opening of the new computer
lab. As a result of a generous donation by the Mr. and Mrs. Shahan and
Shooshig Ohanessian, the school created the computer lab with fifteen
brand-new, state-of-the-art computers. The computers are loaded with
various programs to support a high school technology and computer
curriculum. After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, all guests toured the
lab. The school's vice principal presented a plaque to the donors in
appreciation of their commitment to the school. "It is with parents'
support that we will continue to strive and make this institution a
model Armenian magnet school," said Talin Kargodorian in her remarks.
She thanked everyone for their continued dedication, including teachers,
parents, students and, most of all, school board members.

Following the computer lab opening, guests made their way to the parking
lot where the new van was awaiting its own ribbon cutting. Coach Vic
Karapetian was officially handed the keys to the van, which will be
utilized to transport students to their various athletic games within
the CIF league and for various school field trips. The event was
particularly satisfying for the school's Parent Support Group and
Father's Club, both of which had worked diligently to raise funds to
purchase the van. The vehicle was jointly purchased with the AGBU
Pasadena/Glendale Chapter, which will use the van for its scouting
    program.

The two ceremonies were followed by a reception in the Boyajian Hall,
hosted by AGBU High School Pasadena's Parent Support Group.

Established in 2006, AGBU High School Pasadena School (www.agbuphs.org)
