Azerbaijan
Today's sitting of the "case of 7" did not take place at the Shengavit
Court of General Jurisdiction. Judge of the Criminal Court of Yerevan
Mnatsakan Martirosyan declared the hearing open and immediately
closed it, postponing the trial until February 12. The reason of the
decision was the same: the defendants refused to stand up, Radio of
Armenia reported.
The text of the decision ends with the same sentence: the term of
postponement is not included in the term of imprisonment and according
to the decision of the Court, it is not subject to appeal.
Hakob Hakobyan's lawyer Melania Arustamyan informs that the lawyers
view this as a ground for applying to the Constitutional Court and
the European Court of Human Rights.
