and the training of nearly 1000 IT professionals per year, said a
    press release.

Under the terms of the agreement, the Ministry of External Affairs,
Government of India has identified C-DAC as an implementing agency for
the CoE and the establishment of HPC Centre with PARAM Supercomputer
for collaborative research in the areas of Computational Fluid
Dynamics, Bioinformatics, Weather Forecasting and Evolutionary

"This center is proposed to be a major facility for the development

fundamental and advanced IT courses of C-DAC to the students of
Armenia," said Divyabh Manchanda, while addressing the media.

A training programme for six months will be imparted to the trainers

of high quality research and education in Armenia.

"The establishment of this center of excellence will help Armenia in
taking advantage of the developments in the field of IT, right from
the grassroots level to the highly complex arena of High Performance
    Computing (HPC)," he said.

He further added that the establishment of IACoEICT will help
Government of Armenia to deliver IT education and to enable access
