ARMPRODEXPO 2009 FINISHES ITS WORK

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 13, NOYAN TAPAN. On November 13 - the last day of
Armprodexpo 2009 held in Yerevan, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan
went to the exhibition. He familiarized himself with products
on display and talked with representatives of some manufacturing
companies.
The event was organized by the RA Ministry of Agriculture, RA Ministry
of Foreign Affairs, Armenia's Chamber of Commerce and Industry,
and Agrobusiness Development Center.
Armen Davtian, Director of Agrobusiness Development Center, said that
the Armprodexpo 2009 performed its tasks: it presented a range of new
best foodstuffs made in Armenia, "a sufficient number of contracts"
were signed, agreements on cooperation with foreign commercial
organizations were reached, and a direct link was established between
the producer and the consumer.
Goods of 64 enterprises, including 14 foreign companies, were displayed
at the exhibition. Among the participants were 8 Belarusian companies
engaged in the production of alcoholic drinks, confectionery, and
baby food, 2 Russian enterprises manufacturing vegetable oil and
organic fertilizers, also Bucher Engineering (Austria), with which
it is envisaged signing an agreement on the purchase of a conveyer
used in fruit juice production.
