`Wings of Eagle' - the winner in the contest of renaming the Tatev cable way
YEREVAN, JULY 30, ARMENPRESS: The contest of compositions announced
for renaming the cable way of Halidzor village of the Armenian
province of Syunik has been summed up. The winner is resident of the
Halidzor village Amalya Grigoryan who offered to name the cable way
`Wings of Eagle' - explaining that from her childhood she has been
dreaming of such cable way, and all were mocking her dream.
`There were wonderful variants and very good compositions. We have
thought a lot over them,' head of the Tatev cable way opening program
Lilit Chitchyan said.
Two weeks ago a competition contest was announced in the village of
Tatev having 550-population. The participants must have presented
their opinion, concerns and wishes over the cable way and offer a
name. A number of names - Halidzor, Bardzraket, Prkoghak (Rescue
Circle), Syunik, Vorotan and other were offered.
Head of Halidzor village Samvel Asryan thanked the National
Competitiveness Foundation and those who have financed the program. `I
express my gratitude on behalf of the whole village. Halidzor has
waited quite long for such an establishment which will not only
promote the development of tourism but will solve the issues of jobs,'
the head of the village noted.
