BUCKWHEAT PRICES SKYROCKET IN ARMENIA

Tense and speculative situation in the world wheat market and the
newly-sparked buckwheat deficit in Russia are already affecting also
Armenia, according to local Armenia business daily Capital.
Buckwheat prices is Armenia, according to the source, have already
skyrocketed by 50 per cent since August making 600 drams per kilo.
Though Armenia imports 65-93 tones of buckwheat per year which makes
an insignificant part of Armenians' basket of goods, any rise in
buckwheat prices in the future is not excluded.
