VICE SPEAKER OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY AREVIK PETROSYAN CONDUCTS AN OPEN LESSON

On February 2, within the framework of the Open Doors of the National
Assembly programme, the Vice Speaker of the National Assembly Mrs.
Arevik Petrosyan conducted the regular open lesson with a group of
students of the schools of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative
districts of Yerevan.
Mrs. Petrosyan welcomed the participants of the Open Lesson, presented
the goal of the programme, introduced them the constitutional powers,
structure, procedure of the legislative initiatives of the National
Assembly, the involvement of the political forces in the parliament,
the relations between the executive and judicial power bodies,
the works being directed to the strengthening of parliament-society
relationship.
The students addressed Mrs. Petrosyan questions concerning the
Armenian-Turkish protocols, deputy-voter relationship, the women's
involvement in the legislative body and numerous other issues.
The open lesson was conducted in the atmosphere of free and direct
interpellations and dialogue.
At the end the participants thanked the Vice Speaker of the National
Assembly Mrs. Arevik Petrosyan and expressed wish that the Open Lesson
programme would be continuous. The Vice Speaker wished the students
success in their personal life and education, and to get knowledge with
a conscience that tomorrow they will be responsible for strengthening
the statehood of Armenia, defending and making powerful the Motherland.
