ARMENTEL EXTENDING 3G-COMMUNICATION COVERAGE IN BIGGEST TOWNS OF ARMENIA

ArmInfo. ArmenTel is extending the coverage of 3G- communcation in
the biggest towns of Armenia.
According to the Company press service, the towns of Abovyan, Vanadzor,
Gyumri and Echmiadzin will be fully covered by 3G-network.
Moreover, tens of new communication objects have been established
in Yerevan. New base stations appeared in every district of Yerevan,
in places where subscribers most actively use the mobile communication.
"By early 2010, we prepared a pleasant surprise for our clients. As
necessary, our company will further increase the capacity of
3G-network in the capital and the towns where this technology is
available. Moreover, it will extend its geography in other regions of
Armenia as well. So, by late 2010, we intend to increase the total
number of 3G base stations threefold", Director General of ArmenTel
CJSC Igor Klimko said.
3G-network provides the mobile communication subscribers with access
to both the best quality of traditional mobile services and to the
principally new services: high-speed Internet access, access to mobile
TV, video-challenges, etc.
