IJEVAN, JUNE 28, ARMENPRESS: Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia
Rashid Nurgaliyev and Chief of Armenia's Police Alik Sargsyan visited
June 26 Goshavank. Rashid Nurgaliyev expressed desire to visit one of
the beautiful sights of Armenia and chose Goshavank. Governor of the
province of Tavush Armen Ghularyan, Head of Tavush Police Department
Khachik Asatryan and other officials of the province welcomed the
guests. Mr. Rashid Nurgaliyev got acquainted with the history of the
construction of Goshavank monastery, its architectural solutions.
The minister was told about the life of Mkhitar Gosh, founder of the
Armenian jurisprudence, his activities and the importance of Gosh's
'Datastanagirk ('Judicial Code')' work for the international science
of law. Tavush Governor Armen Ghularyan said he underscores the
importance of the Armenian-Russian friendly relations in the state
and public levels. 'Armenian Ornament' dance group, 'Dnepr' ensemble
of Armenia's Slavic communities made performances during the reception.
