Turkish filmmaker Semih Kaplanoglu said that walking the streets of
Yerevan, he considers himself at home.
`I know that our peoples have many unresolved problems,' Kaplanoglu
told a press conference on the sidelines of Golden Apricot festival in
Yerevan on July 17.
According to him, these problems can be solved through culture.
`Politicians will not become mollified, but we will be able to solve
the existing problems through our films, culture and reminder of long
ago forgotten names,' said Kaplanoglu.
He thanked the festival's organizers for the invitation and noted with
regret that he would like his friend Hrant Dink to share the joy of
his presence at Golden Apricot festival.
