On April 2-10, Marshal Baghramian training area will host reservists' training.
Spokesman for the RA Defense Ministry David Karapetyan said that the
training is a part of program on improving combat readiness of the
Armenian armed forces and is not anyhow related to the threat of
resumption of hostilities.
`Reservists make a part of our country's military potential; their
retraining, as well as improvement of the military and mobilization
resources will provide our country with the opportunity to take steps
adequate to the threats, if changes take place in the atmosphere of
safety,' said Karapetyan.
The head of the organizational and mobilization department, Colonel
Arakel Martikyan noted for his part that the launched training is a
regular event of the armed forces military training.
`The goal is to have military trained reservists who can fall in with
their relevant military specialty, if needed,' Martikyan said.
Head of the department of engineer troops, Major General Vostanik
Adoyan said that reservists will be trained in mine laying and
demining, constructing engineer obstacles, etc.
