"The people of Karabakh should have the opportunity to participate
in the negotiation process," Chairwoman of the British-Armenian All
Party Parliamentary Group, Vice-Speaker of the House of Lords of the
United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Caroline Cox
told reporters in Yerevan.
The delegation headed by Baroness Cox comprises members of both
chambers of the British Parliament.
Yesterday the delegation visited Nagorno Karabakh and met the leaders
of Artsakh. The Baroness praised the progress she saw in Karabakh.
"The Nagorno Karabakh issue is a serious one. I would not like to speak
on behalf of the people of Nagorno Karabakh, but they should have the
right to participate in the negotiation process. I see that Armenians
have the political will to move forward on the basis of principles,
but Azeris also need to cooperate," Baroness Cox said.
