Who is the witness to March 1 events Serge Sargsyan recommends to
interrogate? In a consultation with the law enforcement bodies Serge
Sargsyan actually instructed to launch a new investigation, adding
that the witnesses must be interrogated who earlier were unwilling
to testify and may have changed their decision.
Did Serge Sargsyan hint at definite persons or not? It is not clear but
it is obvious that there are a lot of people whom the court did not
involve in the case intentionally in case they might say undesirable
things. It is possible that they are police officers, bodyguards of
oligarchs, even high-ranking military and police officials who are
presently "permitted" to give some information.
What testimony does Serge Sargsyan expect from witnesses? It is
clear that it is going to be information which will distance him from
accusations of March 1. The witnesses will hardly testify against Levon
Ter-Petrosyan, were there such evidence, it would have been used 3
years ago. Consequently, the accusations will be addressed to members
of the government team. The other option could be a witness doctor,
for instance, who would testify that at the time of making the decision
to start shooting Serge Sargsyan was seriously ill and unable to work.
In brief, the fact that three years later new witnesses are mentioned
means that the law enforcement bodies have covered up the information.
And the fact that the president instructs to launch a new investigation
proves the dependence of courts which had closed the case.
