ARMENIAN STATE PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA PERFORMS IN UNIVERSITIES

YEREVAN, APRIL 20, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian State Philharmonic
Orchestra is coming forth with a number of interesting programs.
Speaking to Armenpress the head and chief conductor of the orchestra
Eduard Topchyan said that the coming event will take place in Armenia's
French University.
The launch of the programs was given February 18 at the
Russian-Armenian Slavonic University, followed by March 4 Mkhitar
Heratsi Medical University, April 15 Abovyan Pedagogical University.
Topchyan noted that during this year concert series for schoolchildren
will also be conducted together with the Armenia's children's
philharmonic.
"Special concerts will be conducted for more than 12 000 schoolchildren
of about 100 secondary schools during the week-ends.
With it an attempt will be made to present to the pupils the diamonds
of classic music", he noted.
During the year a number of events will be conducted dedicated to
the 20th anniversary of Armenia, 85th anniversary of the Armenian
State Philharmonic Orchestra, 90th anniversary of Eduard Mirzoyan,
150th anniversary of Fridtjof Nansen.
