EVENTS DEDICATED TO ARMENIAN GENOCIDE IN A NUMBER OF EUROPEAN COUNTRIES

YEREVAN, APRIL 20, ARMENPRESS: A number of events commemorating the
victims of the Armenian Genocide and condemning the policy of denial of
Turkey will be held in a number of European countries. Hilda Choboyan,
head of the Armenian Cause Office in Europe, told Armenpress that
already April 10 in Athens symbolizing blood donation took place in
the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide. In Athens and
Thessalonici photo exhibitions dedicated to the Armenian Genocide,
liturgy services and protest rallies in front of Turkish embassy were
organized April 15-17.
April 19 protest rally was held in Hague and in Rome presentation of
book of Henry Morgenthau dedicated to the Armenian Genocide took place.
April 23 commemoration ceremonies will be conducted in Lyon, Paris,
Marseille and other cities of France. The majority of the events are
expected to be held April 24. In Brussels on that day a protest march
and requiem service will be held. On the same day march of protest
will be conducted in the capital of Bulgaria Sofia. Marches of protest
and requiem services are expected in Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Rome,
Venice and Milan.
These kind of events are expected April 25 in many countries of
Bulgaria - Burgas, Varna, Plovdiv, in the capital of Cyprus Nicosia.
