REPUBLICAN SPOKESMAN SAYS EXECUTIVE BOARD RESHUFFLINGS POSSIBLE IN FEBRUARY

The Republican Party of Armenia's (RPA) Executive Board may have
personnel changes as it does every two years after its regular
sessions, a spokesperson of the ruling party has said.
"Each RPA member has a right to propose his or her candidacy for
the executive board," Edward Sharmazanov told Tert.am. "We have not
yet discussed agenda issues, including the candidates' names. Those
questions will be considered ahead of the session or at the meeting."
It comes after the local daily Haykakan Zhamanak said in its Tuesday
issue that the Republican's executive board will completely change
after its regular session in February. Citing its sources, the paper
said Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan, Republican lawmaker Harutyun
Pambukyan, the former head of the presidential staff, Karen Karapetyan,
and the head of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on State
and Legal Affairs, David Harutyunyan, will no longer be represented
in the Board.
