According to our sources present at yesterday's festivities jointly
celebrated by the three parties in the ruling government coalition,
President Serzh Sargsyan clearly stated that many in attendance would
have been facing a "hard time" if not for the fact that they recently
agreed to back his candidacy in the 2013 presidential elections.
President Sargsyan is said to have told the guests, members of the HHK,
BHK and OYK parties, that the coalition has successfully withstood
difficulties in the past and will do so again.
BHK leader Gagik Tsarukyan is said to have been "out of sorts" at
the festivities held at the Ojakh Restaurant. The burly politician
failed to make a congratulatory toast and never got up to dance with
the rest of the guys.
We spoke with Tsarukyan's press secretary Khatchik Galstyan for some
clarification and were told that the party leader was away on vacation.
Meanwhile, Galoust Sahakyan, who heads the HHK parliamentary faction,
told Hetq that the festivities were held in a jovial atmosphere and
that nothing happened out of the ordinary.
He said that we shouldn't listen to such rumours spread by people
who have an axe to grind.
