Shushi liberation was symbolic, a literature expert, Artsakh
liberation war participant stated.
`Those who own Shushi, own Karabakh,' Vardan Devrikyan told a news
conference in Yerevan. As he noted, the life of people in Stepanakert
and adjacent villages depended on Shushi, from where they were fired
at.
`The liberation of Shushi allowed Armenians to overcome psychological
problems and helped make a transition from losses to victories. At
present, Armenians need to overcome another barrier by returning to
Shushi and other liberated villages of Artsakh,' Devrikyan stressed.
