PanARMENIAN.Net - Heritage opposition party member Anahit Bashkhyan
offered to rename Armenia into "a country of policemen" when commenting
on the fact that the police cordoned almost all entries to the
government building on Thursday, October 27, ahead of the protest
actions to be held.
"It is neither democratic nor constitutional regime when policemen
do not allow people to voice their concerns," the MP said.
As a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent reported from the ground, media
representatives had to enter a dispute with the security officers to
get access to the building in order to cover the government session.
Two protest actions are expected to take place. Mothers of killed
soldiers have already gathered at the government building. Besides,
ecologists will call for protection of Trchkan waterfall, where a
hydropower plant is planned to be built.
