    COLLECTION OF TAXES IN 2012 IN ARMENIA SHOULD BE INCREASED - PREMIER

    YEREVAN, September 8. /ARKA/. Collection of taxes in 2012 in Armenia
    should be significantly increase, said Armenian Premier Tigran
    Sargsyan.

    "I want that we all understand that it is not only the function of
    the State Revenue Committee of Armenia. All government members should
    be responsible for collecting taxes", said Sargsyan before the start
    of government meeting.

    He instructed all the ministers and heads of departments to submit
    detailed analysis of tax bases in their spheres and forecasts regarding
    the size of the company for 2012 in a week and necessary steps for
    the support on solving the issue of these income.

    "Particularly we are interested in energy sphere where we expect
    growth. We don't know how much the tax bases will be increased and
    the companies of energy sphere provide additional income", he said..

    Sargsyan said that analysis and forecasts in the sphere of urban
    construction, transport and communications is very important. He
    emphasized also the importance of such spheres as healthcare where
    the principle of co-financing and increase of salaries will be
    implemented. "If in the results of investments in the sphere of
    co-financing, prices for services increased, it means that the level
    of income among institutions increased and we need clear assessments
    what additional entries we can expect", he said.

    Sargsyan said that that other ministries also should know the situation
    on what tax base they are dealing with.

    All the ministers should submit reports to me on what events they are
    going to conduct for joint provision of income to the budget 2012",
    said Sargsyan.

    According to the data of the Armenian national Statistic Service,
    tax entries to the state budget in January-July 2011 were over 361.8
    billion drams, increased by 10% compared to the same period of 2011.

    ($1 - 370.723 drams).
