Armenian MPs are not serious about the publications of Oxford Analytica
Centre which said that the continuing ceasefire violations along the
contact line between Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces increase
the probability of war.
"I do not think that hostilities might resume in the nearest future,
given the equilibrium of forces. Both Armenian and Karabakh forces
are ready to take retaliatory measures. The second important factor
is that Azerbaijan would not like to lose the dollars received from
oil," Heritage Party MP Armen Martirosyan told A1+.
His colleague Larisa Alaverdyan continued saying that similar studies
serve as a touchstone and aim to test the reaction of the government
and public.
"The whole world knows about Azerbaijan's belligerent statements. All
Azerbaijan's attacks on Armenia ended in disgraceful defeats. Most
of Azerbaijan's borders and territories do not belong to the country
according to the international law.
The ARF-Dashnaktsutyun is not concerned over the center's publications
either.
"Our main privilege over Azerbaijan is our army and the lesson we
gave to Azerbaijanis. It is this privilege that helps us suppress
Azerbaijan," secretary of the ARF-Dashnaktsutyun faction Artyusha
Shahbazyan told A1+.
