YEREVAN MILITARY PARADE WILL 'COOL HOTHEADS' IN BAKU - ARMENIAN EXPERT

    23.09.11

The opinions on the military parade in Yerevan voiced by Azeri
political analysts and so called "military experts" are "not worth
a farthing" for the simple reason that they are mere attempts to
"rend the air" and please the Aliyev clan, Karine Ter-Sahakyan,
an expert in regional problems, told Analitika.at.ua.

Unable to "get hold of" anything, Rasim Musabekov "and company" claimed
that Armenia is fully dependent on Russia, evidence thereof being the
participation of a unit of Russian Military Base #102 in the parade.

Mr. Mubariz Ahdedoghlu, who is famous for his "original thinking" left
all the others behind. His statements defy imagination. "The military
parade in Yerevan is a failed show. Russian troops' participation in
the parade is a serious blow on Armenia's independence," he claimed.

It must be official Baku's habit of turning everything upside-down.

After the parade in Baku, June 26, which proved a sorry sight and
was criticized even by the Azeri military, the Yerevan parade is
supposed to "cool some hotheads" of the Azeri propaganda system. It
is up to Armenia's leaders to makes decisions on a friendly army's
participation in military parades - they are well aware of the value
of this participation. Official Baku would like at least one Turkish
unit to take part in a military parade in Azerbaijan. However,
it requires presence of such a unit in Azerbaijan. A Turkish base
in Azerbaijan is the ruling clan's utopian dream because official
Ankara will never make such a step - it is not enthusiastic about the
bilateral relations even now. Instead of trying to find something
about the Yerevan military parade, Azeri experts had better focus
their attention on their own army. Official Baku will never benefit
from "paid comments." There is no deceiving endlessly, which Mr.

Aliyev appears to be doing. May be, he has nothing else to do?
