Activists prepare to dismantle kiosks at downtown Yerevan park

YEREVAN. - There is a tense situation presently at Armenian capital
Yerevan's Mashtots Park. The activists have surrounded the kiosks
there and are refusing to obey the police requests, Armenian
News-NEWS.am's reporter informs on location.
They are shouting `the Park is hours,' and noting with a loudspeaker
that their actions are peaceful and they are exercising their civil
rights.
`Your gathering is unlawful. Your actions can be considered an offense
and you could be held accountable,' the police officers cautioned
likewise with a loudspeaker.
Over 100 activists are gathered at the Park, and they were joined by
several opposition Heritage Party MPs, Karabakh War veteran Zhirayr
Sefilian, and filmmaker Tigran Khzmalyan.
The police outnumber the activists, and they are fairly well-equipped
to carry out special measures.
The disassembling brigade is wearing green outfits with yellow caps.
