KARINE ACHEMYAN: AZERBAIJAN HINDERS CONFIDENCE BUILDING PROCESS BETWEEN CONFLICTING SIDES

"Armenia backs peaceful resolution of Karabakh conflict. However,
Azerbaijan fails to overcome the defeatist complex and carries out
anti-Armenian propaganda at international level. Azerbaijan should
refrain from making provocative statements and show respect for the
Armenian side and the mediator countries," member of RPA parliamentary
faction Karine Achemyan told Panorama.am, commenting upon international
community's call for showing mutual respect and refraining from
provocative statements on the way to Karabakh conflict resolution.
"Any provocative statement draws us farther away from the possibility
of achieving conflict resolution. We can achieve Karabakh conflict
resolution exclusively through peaceful negotiations," said the MP.
The Armenian side has always been loyal to the agreements regarding
the conflict and unlike Azerbaijan, has always been constructive,
Achemyan stressed.
