ERDOGAN, DAVUTOGLU TO DISCUSS ARMENIAN ISSUE WITH CLINTON

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who arrived in Turkey to attend
Friends of Syria conference in Istanbul, had a meeting with Turkish
PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan and FM Ahmet Davutoglu.
The Turkish statesmen and the US Secretary of State have discussed
issues related to the Syrian and Iranian conflicts, as well as Armenian
Genocide and reconciliation of Armenian-Turkish relationship.
According to Hurriyet the Turkish side has expressed alarms that on
April 24 the Genocide issue would be brought on agenda. Mrs. Clinton
ensured the statesmen that this year great tensions are not expected.
"Erdogan and Davutoglu said they are committed to normalize relations
with Armenia, however Yerevan needs to calm domestic political concerns
and refrain from promotion of Genocide issue," Hurriyet said.
