An interesting situation has formed around the inter-party election
headquarters which none of the forces could expect, especially the
Prosperous Armenia Party.
The PAP has suddenly appeared in the camp which fights against its
coalition partner ~V the Republicans. On the one hand, it resolved the
old issue on entering into an open confrontation with the Republican
Party and being disassociated from the government. On the other hand,
perhaps it happened earlier than planned.
Anyway, judging by Vartan Oskanian~Rs reaction, the PAP would not
like to appear on the other side of the barricade. The PAP has other
fields to fight against the Republican Party and it would not like
to enter into an open fight.
Now, the party automatically keeps to the side of the opposition,
joining an initiative of the Armenian National Congress, Heritage
and ARF Dashnaktsutyun. Moreover, it immediately became the leader
of the opposition with the help of its resources and other.
Why did Galust Sahakyan leave the meeting for an invented minor
excuse? Note that he said he was offended because their coalition
partner, the Orinats Yerkir Party, had not been invited to meeting.
But the reason is definitely not Orinats Yerkir Party. Galust Sahakyan
was offended by the ANC statement that the only target will be the
Republican Party.
Perhaps, it was planned so. RPA has actually simulated an offside and
let the PAP out of the government camp. The party resisted to leaving
the coalition, and posturing as an ~Salternative~T went on using the
administrative resources and all the benefits provided by power.
The Republicans perhaps decided that the resource should be blocked for
the party. We need to expect that after the first step the Republicans
will blame the Prosperous Armenia Party for being a renegade, perhaps,
it will even declare the collapse of the ruling coalition. It will
not be a brunt for the PAP prior to the elections.
On the contrary, it will be on the winning side.
Evidently, the Armenian dragon now has two heads. If previously the
dragon controlled only the government camp, now it is hankering for
the opposition. Will the small dinosaurs be able to cope with this
dragon? It is necessary to cut both its heads at once to kill it. Or
will the dragon with government and opposition as its heads devour
everything around it?
