ARMENIA-TURKEY CINEMA PLATFORM WORKSHOP TO BE HELD IN ISTANBUL

The next workshop of the Armenia-Turkey Cinema Platform (ATCP) will
be held in Istanbul from Thursday to Saturday. The ATCP 2012 Program
is carried out with the support by the Eurasia Partnership Foundation
(EPF).
The ATCP is the joint initiative of the Golden Apricot Film Festival
of Armenia and the Anadolu Kultur organization of Turkey, and it aims
to stimulate cultural dialogue between Armenia and Turkey through
the film industry.
Several joint films were shot within the framework of this initiative,
and they were screened in Armenia, Turkey, Germany, US, and elsewhere.
And four new films are currently being prepared.
This year the Armenia-Turkey Cinema Platform will be included in the
"Meetings on the Bridge" Forum of the Istanbul Film Festival.
Armenian participants were invited to Istanbul to present their
projects to the producers and the jury. The creator of the winning
project will receive US$10,000 from the EPF.
This year's jury members also include Golden Apricot Film Festival
General Director, filmmaker Harutyun Khachatryan, and renowned Turkish
director Yesim Ustaoglu.
