As the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide approaches, official
Ankara plans a large-scale anti-Armenian campaign, using the potential
of the 1,000 world-famous Turks.
Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag plans a meeting with Turkish
Diaspora representatives on September 15, 2012. About 1,000 Turks
from different parts of the world are to gather in Istanbul and Ankara.
The Turkish Diaspora plans to challenge Armenians' claims in
cooperation with the Azerbaijani community.
Armenians are making unfounded claims, and the Turkish Diaspora will
discuss ways of presenting it to the entire world. With this end
in view, world-famous Turkish workers of art and culture - writers,
actors producers - will arrive in Turkey, Hurriyet reports.
Turks also plan an active on-line campaign. Numerous anti-Turkish
articles are available on-line in English, French and German.
Turkey is seeking the ways of presenting its position in foreign
languages as well.
Turkish Diaspora representatives will work with NGOs abroad.
