EDUARD SHARMAZANOV SHOWS ALIYEV THE WAY OF WAIVING AZERBAIJANI FLAG IN STEPANAKERT

YEREVAN, APRIL 17, ARMENPRESS: If Azerbaijani President's desire
to see the Azerbaijani flag in Stepanakert is great, there is only
one way of achieving it - establishment of diplomatic relations with
Independent Republic of Nagorno Karabakh. Deputy Speaker of Armenia's
Parliament Eduard Sharmazanov said this commenting on President Ilham
Aliyev's statement related to NK conflict voiced April 16 in Baku.
Aliyev had noted a day will come when the Azerbaijani flag will
waive in Stepanakert and Shushi. "First, Azerbaijan must suspend
the armaments race and war rhetoric. Secondly, it must prepare its
society not for war but peace.
And as a result of establishment of diplomatic relations with Nagorno
Karabakh, the flag of the independent Republic of Nagorno Karabakh
will waive on the building of Nagorno Karabakh Embassy in Baku, and
their flag may be placed on the building of the Azerbaijani Embassy
in Stepanakert, capital of Nagorno Karabakh.
I think sooner or later, those in Azerbaijan will realize that
international recognition of Nagorno Karabakh Republic has no
alternative," said Sharmazanov.
