for your continued attention, support and interest in the activities
of the ARPA Institute in Armenia and the USA.
2012 is the 20th Anniversary of ARPA Institute and this auspicious
occasion will be celebrated by two events on May 19, to which you are
all invited: *1. One day conference, 11:00am-4:00 pm, on " Issues
facing Armenia and the Diaspora" in the Glendale Public Library and
2. Banquet in the Dream palace in Glendale at 7:30pm.* Please make a
note of it and attend, if you can. Attached please see information
and the Conference program. You will also see our Ad form. We would
appreciate any contributions.
We will especially appreciate your help in our new initiatives of 1.
Establishing a modern DNA Center of Excellence in Armenia and our
e-Archeology project to establish databases for the archival of all
information on antiquities, museum articles and monuments in Armenia,
in specially designed websites, with highly specialized software
programs. 2. The ARPA annual Invention Competition in Armenia creates
numerous patent-able inventions. ARPA hands out awards to the winners
as follows: first place receives $2000, second $1000, third $600 and
the fourth place award is $400. ARPA has received 19 inventions in
2012 and a total of received 62 inventions in various fields in the
past five years and has given over $20,000 monetary awards to the
winning inventions. Our research has shown that Armenia can become a
competitive country in the global market only through the production
of new and innovative products. Thus, we try to encourage the youth in
Armenia to innovate and invent new products through our annual
"Invention Competition". 3. Our "Distance Learning Program" is
intended as a means of technology transfer and to help students and
researchers in Armenia. If anyone can and is willing to present a
lecture on any subject related to the most advanced and modern
developments in their field, please send us an e-mail. We would
welcome your assistance. 4.The ARPA Health Education and Lifestyle
(HELP) program in Artsakh informs middle school students about the
hazards of smoking, heavy drinking and other unhealthy practices and
promotes healthy lifestyles.
Through these and other programs ARPA Institute makes a minor
contribution towards the enhancement of the educational, industrial,
economic and and health sectors of Armenia. We welcome any critique
and/or suggestions/proposals on new initiatives. We need experts to
help us evaluate the inventions we have received.
