ArmRosCogeneration CJSC, subsidiary of EurosibPower Engineering, is
expected to double the number of subscribers of centralized heating
in the Avan Community, Yerevan.
Mikael Rustamyan, Head of ArmRosCogeneration CJSC, told ArmInfo a total
of 1240 apartments or around 5,000 people are connected to centralized
heating. Next winter these figures may be increased to 3320 apartments
or 10154 residents - around 30% of the Avan Community residents.
On April 18 the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia
extended the license of ArmRosCogeneration CJSC for construction of
the second launch facility of the autonomous cogeneration plant and
installation of new equipment (boiler house and co-generator) till
April 27 2013. The company is to inform the Commission of payment of
a 14.8 million drams bank guarantee from VTB Bank Armenia CJSC to the
state budget within two weeks. Rustamyan said that the company will
increase capacity till April 2013 to connect another three quarters of
the Avan Community to the centralized heating system. He said that new
subscribers are connected to the system every year before the heating
season. Last year the number of the company's subscribers grew 10%,
he said.
There is no centralized heating in the country and gas household
heating devices are used. The cost of the centralized and local heating
is actually similar. Centralized heating is safer and more ecological,
Rustamyan said.
To recall, ArmRosCogeneration CJSC completed the first part of the
launching facility of the autonomous cogeneration plant with the
electic capacity of 2MW and heating capacity of 17.4MW in Dec 2009.
The first boiler house was put into exploitation and heating
ans hot water was supplied to 30 residential buildings in Avan
Community. The license for construction of the cogeneration plant
expires in Nov 2012. ArmRosCogeneration CJSC - is a joint venture
Russian-Armenian company, the founder of which from Russian side is
EuroSibEnergo-Engineering LLC (85%). The Armenian shareholders are
several private companies. EuroSibEnergo-Engineering LLC, in turn,
is part of En+Group Holding controlled by the Russian businessman
Oleg Deripaska.
