"We must remember what happened 97 years ago, at the same time
looking into the future," German Ambassador to Armenia Hans- Jochen
Schmidt said.
"Turkey must assume responsibility for all it did," the Ambassador
added.
According to him, the recognition of the fact by the Turkish Government
is important for the establishment of friendship between the two
peoples.
"If you want to build the future, you must face the past, like Germans
did," Ambassador Scmidt added.
"If Turkey wants to join the European Union, it should accept its
past," the German Ambassador concluded.
