Charges have been laid, in Yekaterinburg, Russia, against Russian
blogger Vasily Fyodorovich's accomplice, the Russia's Investigation
Committee website informed on Wednesday.
The person by the name of Roman, 29, who resides in Yekaterinburg,
is charged with committing three murders. One of them, according to
the examination premise, was committed in March 2012, when he and his
four followers had taken Armenian George Yakubian-who held Syrian and
American citizenships-to an abandoned location, where they robbed,
killed and burned the foreign national.
This gang's crime was widely covered because well-known blogger Vasily
Fyodorovich was announced as a member of this gang in July 2012.
The Investigation Committee had announced on August 16 that Fyodorovich
was charged with Yakubian's murder and for two other crimes.
As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, George Yakubian's dead body
was found in an abandoned garage in Yekaterinburg. The handcuffed
man's throat was slit, and his partly burned American passport had
fallen beside him. Also, the victim's bank card was missing, and a
huge amount of money was later withdrawn with this card.
